Grove City High School’s Lilly Frazzitta Named to 2025 National Honor Choir

Grove City High School sophomore Lilly Frazzitta has recently been selected for the 2025 National Honor Choir through the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). Lilly was chosen for the grade 8-10 Treble Choir, a highly selective ensemble that will perform at the ACDA National Conference in Dallas, Texas, from March 19-21, 2025.

Lilly underwent a rigorous and highly competitive audition process to secure her spot in the choir. This year, ACDA received over 5,000 applications across all honor choirs, with only 300 singers earning a place in the 8-10 Treble Choir. The selection process was conducted through a blind evaluation by ACDA members who teach in the same grade levels as the applicants, ensuring an unbiased review based solely on vocal performance.

“This is a really big moment for me,” Lilly said. “I’ve never gotten anywhere this big, and I am really excited.”

Under the direction of renowned conductor Lynnel Joy Jenkins, Lilly will join other talented young vocalists from across the country to rehearse and perform at the national level. This opportunity not only showcases her vocal talent and dedication to choral music but also highlights the strength of the music program at Grove City High School.

“I am so happy for her,” said Ann Johnson, GCHS director of choirs. “I am really proud of her. She’s been working so hard for this, and she is the right person to be selected because she has the drive for it.”

Lilly is part of the Touch of Class and Class Act competitive show choirs at GCHS, as well as the advanced women’s chorus, Harmonia. She plans to pursue a musical career after high school to continue focusing on her passion for singing.

Lilly is the first student from both Grove City High School and South Western City Schools to be selected for this prestigious honor choir.

Congratulations to Lilly on this outstanding achievement! Her dedication, hard work, and passion for music have earned her a well-deserved place among the nation’s top young vocalists.
